Mitt Romney has been caught in a lie about his post-1999 Bain involvement and he continues to grossly fabricate about President Obama and his record. Doesn't his faith prohibit bearing false witness?
Then there is the issue of his pre-2010 tax returns which he refuses to release. Either he is hiding something politically embarrassing, or is arrogantly disrespecting the people's demand for their release.
He has been on both sides on numerous issues: on abortion rights, support for Planned Parenthood, a "no tax increases" pledge, a path to citizenship for immigrants, the Brady gun bill, on "don't ask, don't tell" and, most notably, the health care legislation. He says whatever he thinks his audience wants to hear. When pressed on these inconsistencies and lies, he gets testy and whiny and faults the person raising the issue and demands an apology.
As per the president's comment, no one builds a business in a total vacuum. There has to be an existing infrastructure they are counting on; there also must be financing they pull from their own or from other sources. Contrary to what he would have you believe, Romney did not build a business from scratch. He started as a rich kid with unlimited capital and connections, which is not the same as an ordinary person starting a business from scratch. If he had had to struggle to make ends meet and find the capital to create the business, he might have ended as a complete failure.
