Toward the end of the altercation, he held a gun to a mans head, and then fired the weapon close to his head. The arresting jurisdiction has charged him with a 3rd degree assault and an inappropriate discharge of a firearm within city limits, or some variation of that language, which amounts to a misdemeanor. Do these seem like excessively weak charges for the alleged situation? This really seems like close to an attempted murder, or a felony in some degree? What do you all think?
