Rokr e2 Vs W810

Why would you insult the W810 by comparing it to a ROKR ??? :-p


Depends on what you want, the w810 has a much friendlier interface and a million times better mp3 player app; a 2.0 megapixel camera doesn't hurt either. The ROKR has tons of modding potential though.

I say go for the w810
 
He is talking about ROKR E2 not E1. As a music phone, ROKR E2 is superior than W810. If you want a music phone, E2 is the clear choice. If you want a better camera, W810 is your thing.
 
That first sentence made my laugh!
Anyway even though i dont like candybar style phones. I guess the SE looks better then the E2. So if i was in your position i would go with the SE.

By far the E2, much more modding potential- Hello! Linux based OS!? It's got the SE beat on modding basis. The E2 also has a nice built-in Music Player. But I have a bias that shifts me towards motos...

I forgot to add, that I prefer flip-phones (they protect the main LCD) But i would not think twice about grabbing the E2. Too bad the ROKR isn't a flip...
 
E2 is much more moddable. It also has the JUIX OS, which unfortunately moto hasn't rolled out to much of thier newer models yet. It's also one of the few quadband phones with A2DP and its one of the only non-PDA type phones to have a full SD slot which will get you up to 4GB of storage (perhaps more?) It's probably one of the best feature-packed moto out there, basically what the ROKR E1 should have been.

Unfortunately it's not a very good looking phone and the camera is marginal at best. Throw the E2 functionality and features into a RAZR, SLVR, PEBL or KRZR form factor and perhaps you may have a phone that's close to perfect. Perhaps the MAXX will be Moto's next saving grace.

The W810 has a simpler UI and has much better camera functionality. It also has a Pro Duo Slot that can also accomodate up to 4GB cards, which at the moment is better than the newer M2 format which only goes up to 1GB for newer SE phones.

Both phones are geared towards music but you can't mod or tweak the W810i phone nearly as much as the E2 but the W810 is designed so well you probably won't need to bother. I'd say if you want a decent phone right out of the box with a really good camera then the W810i is your phone. If you like to dig in, tweak and modify the hell out of your phone then the E2 would be up your alley.
 
i'm using my E2 right now
screen is great
however battery life isnt as good as the w810.
If battery life was equal to w810 it would be the best music phone
 
Best screen out there? Maybe for its class but not the best. But certainly not the best out in the market.
By the way How much do one of these run for now a days?
