Rogers Vs Bell Network

Hey,

I have question about rogers vs bell's network in canada
specifically in edmonton

i recently bought a blackberry bold 9700 and was comparing it to my friend who has the same phone and is one bell but her phone has much faster internet

i'm wondering when if at all my 9700 will have access to hspa or if it already does? and its just a generally slow network

I would image it has something to do with the fact that the Bell's 3G network, while shared with Telus, is relatively new and does not have anywhere near as many people using it as Rogers network does, yet. Give it time, your friends internet access will eventually slow down

I agree, New network not as much demand as rogers has at the moment.. so give it a while will slow down.. But from a technical standpoint I have heard that Telus/Bell have Fiber going to most sites (except rural) and then Rogers is Microwave Backhaul.. So that might be another possibility.. *This is what I heard, dont know for a 100% Fact.. FYI*

It has to do with volume of users, there are more people using the Rogers network then the newer Bell/Telus network.
