Rogers Rant:

Okay, so im getting some static with my phone no matter where i go, and at times when i make a phone call, right before u hear it dialing, a sharp sound rings through and it just hurts the living heck out of my ear. Anyways, the rogers technical support group being the "smart" people they were told me to pull out my battery for 5 seconds, (lol thats the first thing any one does, battery pull), okay so the battery is pulled, then she calls me back on my land line. first thing she tells me is that, okay so when you pulled the battery, i also reset the network from our end here for a full reset. "has absolutely no affect on your phone". okay so now my status is stuck at GSM, tried to make aphone call to my voicemail, "call cannot be made". okay.....so she goes and tells me to turn my connections off and on again. Same thing, goes back to GSM. Then she tells me to use DM to reload the OS. Anywho im not on a computer right now with DM so i told her i'd try it later. Hung up the phone, and was kinda ticked that my data was not working because its only at GSM. So, being the smarter then rogers tech support that i am, i pulled my battery out again. and voila..it worked, along with 12 messages saying that my BB is registered for email. looks like she resent my service books, twice..

so anywho, the moral of this story is, when in doubt, pull out. (the battery that is) :P and dont trust rogers tech support. its better off asking the nice warm people on these forums. for the people that read that rant, thank you, and sorry for wasting valuable minutes out of ur day. i know it was pointless lol. but hey thats what you get with rogers.
