Rogers Pearl?

Rumours exist that Rogers will release the Pearl this week or next week. Nothing official on their web site yet.... (Attached below)

However, I did find a link to the Pearl's software downloads page on Rogers.com, though there is nothing posted yet, and the photo doesn't load either.
 
Rogers is on GSM and located in Canada one of the biggest provider in Canada if you exclude the Quebec 'cause their coverage in there is pretty messy

I work in a different division of Rogers (Media, not Wireless), and our internal company intranet news site has been mentioning the Pearl as coming this week or next week.

But then I contacted my dealer and he hasn't heard anything official and also doesn't have a Pearl yet.

Keep the fingers crossed!!

As well, of slight interest, Fido has discontinued the Hiptop (aka SideKick), and also does not appear to sell wireless data either.
 
Cool. I've learnt that the 8800 will not come with a camera. So I'm looking at an 8100 when it comes out. And i'm pretty good with Suretype so the small phone won't be an issue.

Hi all,
I called Rogers customer support yesterday to find out some info on th pearl's release date, and the csr told me that they are looking at mid October as an earliest date. I would expect to see teaser
info up at some point next week.
