Rogers Bills (PATHETIC)

I was just wondering what type of Rogers plan everyone has for their BBs. It sucks that the data plans are so expensive in Canada. We have to pay $65 bucks for 50 megs while T-Mobile users get unlimited for $20 bucks. Pathetic. Anyway here is what's on my plan.

-Unlimited Incoming, 200 Daytime, 1000 Eveninings & Weekends : $35
-My5 Calling : $10
-BB Data Plan 25Mb x 2 : $65
-Caller ID : $6
-System Access Fee : $6.95
-911 : $.25

That comes to $123 bucks per month before taxes. Brutal.

What kind of plan are you guys on? I don't believe everyone with a blackberry is paying that much. I must be missing something.
 
I hear you, and the big problem with Rogers is that they are overpriced and their system that is calculating data make a LOT of error, my friend didn't use is BB for a month since he was in hospital, didn't received anything since it was off and was billed 40$ for using a total of 35mb.
 
rogers will usually admit they have service problems. if you call and ask for a Cancelation Officer it will get their attention.

once you get to that person on the phone be calm and polite, state your case and you can get a better deal. or at least credit back.

I do that at least 5 times a year with my cable HDTV, internet, and wireless X2 because I have it all services on a single account with Rogers


I only paid $50 for my BBPearl because I was extreemly unhappy how they helped me after my RAZR died. and at the same time they were screwing me around with my HD cable. So I just called, told them in a contructive manner I was displeased. so the girl fix everthing, gave me a better voice plan, and slapped $200 of my BBP.

where people rant and rave about poor customer service and so on, not sure if you guys have something like this in the US. Customers messages on this site are read by the company's in question and results do favour the customer at the end...... check it out
 
Rogers is the worst service provider I have ever had! Their prices on data plans is out of this world, they should be shot for charging prices like they do....
 
Yeah the plans at Rogers are pretty damn brutal. I am currently not using data because I really have no need for it. But, when I first got my Pearl, I've had many problems (this has been my 3rd Pearl)... and I just kept calling customer service and was really calm to them. When they wouldn't budge or was stubborn then I would start the yelling and screaming...and every time I got my account credited and whatever I wanted to happen happen. They're pretty easy-going. But I once had an idiot who totally screwed up my phone plan...don't get me started.
 
Well here's my plan for anyone who's intrested:

200 days
Unlimited evengs/weekend as of 6pm
2500 txt messages
caller id package
data package 25mb
----------------------
Total price before taxes $83

That isn't as bad as the first post but i figured that i'd show that there's some hope.
But i do agree, Rogers does NEED despriately a unlimted data package.
 
I am with Telus and I find them to be the best of the Canadian companies, but makes me mad to see the US plans

Anyways, if you can put up with cdma and you are up for a change, check out Telus
