For example, lots (I..suppose. I've noticed it, anyway. .___.) of 70's music had references to atomic bombs/nuclear bombs, and I'd guess that some those of 70s artists were around during the height of the Cold War, or during the time when it had just cooled down and people were relieved and still talking about those bombs. Or, take the Vietnam War and all the music that inspired.

Do cultural events/political events/current events have a great effect on music?
Was that effect greater in the past than now/has it changed over time?
BQ: Why do amps have their specific sound? Solid state, specifically. I mean, aside from the different speakers, why do different amps sound different? Is it the wiring? If so..what about the wiring? T.T.
BQ2: Most useful class you've ever taken in school (if any)? Business math has taught me how to properly conduct drug deals!

But I mean, between different solid state amps, what causes the difference? Why does a Crate amp sound so different to a Marshall, if they're both solid state, have the same wattage, and have the same brand/size speaker? The basics of it, I guess. Most googling just brings up solid vs. tube.
