I have the same issue on my new King. Love the bike, hate the bars. I'm going APE next week. I've heard so many good things about apes I thought I would try them. God knows these stock things aren't working.... I was temped to try the Heritage bars BUT a lot of mixed reviews with looks and feel. I held the Heritage (style) bars up to my bike and I didn't think there was THAT much of a difference. I'm 5.9" with an inseam of 30'. From asking around at the dealership and chatting with folks here I hope the overall idea of Apes will be a good one for me... Sure do cost a lot by the time you swap everything over.

I think apes will be the best bet. I sat on a Sportster with apes and it felt like a lot bigger bike. My RK has stock bars and being 6'2" with apey arms, my hands feel like they are right on my knees right now.
