After 20 plus years on Goldwings, i bought a 06 RG 3 weeks ago, i should have done it 20 years ealrier, I also was looking at the EG ultras and luckily found this RG, its a great machine and will serve you well....only problem is now i need a invite to the Chrome and Customization Support group ,
I'm 5' 11" and she fits me fine. In less than an hour I can convert her from cruiser to full dressed touring bike. You have versatility, great handling, comfortand dashing good looks.
I sometimes think that I should have started on a different bike. Now I have nowhere to move up to I started with the best there is. Looks like I will have to stick with roadies for life.
I've had my bike for over 6 years and I love it. There is nothing wrong with the batwing bikes (I've had a bunch of them) but the RoadGlide is just so much fun to ride. You can really make them look bad ass by just pulling off the tour pak, putting on a short shield and some nice pipes. I'll never own anything else.
I'm going to LOVE my new Road Glide when it gets here in 2 weeks
If you've never been on a bike that had a frame mounted fairing, you will instantly notice the difference in handling. Without the added weight on the forks, the steering input is lighter durring slow speed manuevering and in heavy crosswinds and highway speeds too
Well there ain't really nothing I can add to what these fellows have already said. I don't have one but my son got him a 07 several months ago and he has let me ride it a few times and there right its Harley's best kept secret.
I have had my road glide for one year now and I have to say I love it. I looked at them all but really like the fixed fairing and the overall looks of the road glide. You will not be sorry once you get one...
