I just put some ringtones on my mytouch 4g in the "Ringtones" directory on the SD card, but they show up in the music player. I have tried putting them in system/media/audio/ringtones, media/audio/ringtones, audio/ringtones, and media/ringtones. Yes I have tried doing capital R vs lowercase r. And notifications and alarms do the same thing!!! And no, I don't want to put a .nomedia file in the ringtones directory. I even tried changing the genre to ringtones in the tags on all the tones. I don't get it, my Nexus One did this perfectly...
Any other options?
