Alright you guys, first post, I'm desperate for some advice.
About 2 months ago, I noticed a painful lumppainful lump underneath my right nipple. At first, didn't really think about, but after 2 days, I was bothered greatly by it. I thought it was an ingrown hairingrown hair because (this is weird) there is one particular hair on my nipple that's darker than the rest that I pulled out a month or so prior, but it never grew back in. It's just gone.
So, I went to a doctor after 1 month. She asked me a series of questions, my answers were as follows: have not noticed a change in size, seems to be more painful at night, but that might just be my imagination.
She told me it felt cysticcystic and that I would need to get an ultrasound, but at the time, I was leaving in 2 weeks and the wait is 2 months, so she told me to get it when I'm home.
2 weeks after, I went to the doctor for a different problem, but at the conclusion of the appointment I thought I'd ask what he thought. (this is at the same clinic, so he saw the other doctor's report).
He told me that it was likely a "breast bud" and to simply see what happens within the next month or two.
Well, one month later, there is progress.
Same size, same pain when it's touched.
No pain around it, no other symptoms at all.
What should I do now?! Continue waiting?
I'm a needle-phobic (21, and haven't had a needle for anything in nearly 8 years (except in the dentist office and I passed out)); but this really plays into my next move.
Has anyone experienced this? If so, what happened?!
Thanks so much for help.
