Rim Offset Difference?

if i have a offset of 50mm, can i use rims that are under 50mm, like 30-40mm?

if you go any lower than your offset the rim will rub your calipers and maybe even your ball joints.You can get away with going to a higher offset but the problem you will have there is you will be putting more stress on the axles.You can use one with a lower offset if you use spacers to make up the difference on the offset
