This riddle came out of a page-a-day calendar.
Three monks-- Hsueh-feng, Ch'in-shan, and Yen-t'ou-- met in a garden. Hsueh-feng saw a water pail and pointed to it. Ch'in-shan said, "The water is clear, the moon reflects its image."
"No, no," Hsueh-feng said, "it is neither water nor moon."
Wordlessly Yen't'ou kicked over the pail.
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN???!??!?!!
