Riddle. Question is below?

Hi, my friends step-dad told us this riddle and he never told us the answer! Do I was wondering whether any of you have heard it and know the answer. So here is the riddle:

If it takes an Irishman a week to walk a fortnight, how long does it take an ant to skate across a jar of honey wearing a pair of ( i have no idea how you spell this but I know that they are some kind of army type boot!) Ogham boots.

Ok so that was the riddle tell me if you know the answer!

how longs a piece of string... why would an ant skate? both things are not in anyway mutually exclusive so its impossible to tell.
