This is an oddity: plus Brando but minus Susannah York, Richard Griffiths' comedy terrorists and Richard Lester's fairly lame jokes, a much darker movie emerges.
Granted, using footage which occasionally looks unfinished, the end result is a bit uneven but definitely worth a look: the relationship between Lois And Clark is more entertaining and the scenes between Reeve and Brando are genuinely moving.
Some things are still there: Chris Reeve's continuity-defying hair, Terence Stamp's Kwaint Kockney Kryptonian and the dodgy models/doubles.
Still, better than 3 & 4 by several light years.
