Probably not as good but will it still be good protection under 20 mph (32 km/h)? Made with d3o.

Three things that are bad about the ripcap and cycling.
1. the liner is cotton and that will not wick away perspiration.
2. the outer is wool and in conjunction with the cotton that sucker has to be Hot in the summer. -- no vents like a helmet --
3 and most darn important from their own description of the product cut and pasted to here verbatim: ***IMPORTANT: Please note that although Ribcap with d3o technology offers much greater protection than a regular cap, Ribcap does not offer complete head protection nor comply with any standards established for protective headgear like helmets***

Wear a helmet, protect your marbles. If you loose your marbles you can't ride any more.
