have a 09 rg with the stock 28 spoke mag wheels. stock is 17" front and 16" rear. just bought a set of rg custom (i.e. street glide) wheels off ebay from a 2010 model. these are 16" rear (same) and 18" front. aside from having to buy the appropriate tire, do you foresee any isssues? thanks

Shouldn't have, I bought my 2010 RK a couple months ago. It came with the upgraded wire wheels. I told the Dealer I'd rather have the 28 spoke mags. He offered to trade me a set of wheels off a 2010 SG. He said all I would have to do is buy a 18 inch front tire. He said it would work fine. I didn't trade because after looking at the RK wire wheels, I thought they looked pretty good.

If the wheels are ABS compatible but you don't have ABS, there is no reason to worry. The bearing will still work with no problems.

If you have ABS, but the wheels are not from a ABS bike, you will need to change the bearings or you will get an ABS error and the ABS will not function.

No they won't...The ABS bearings are wider...Been there done that...I guess you could have the original wheel spacers machined down and make it work...But saying that will work with no problems is incorrect information.
