First let me explain what Rewards1 is. It is an webpage on which you can earn points by fullfiling surveys with addreses, names etc. For those points you can buy things like consoles, games, microphones and diffrent stuff (it actually works).
Now there comes a questions... from what i heard you need to use real addreses for surveys but it doesnt need to be yours (of course you need to give real information in your Rewards1 profile if you want your rewards to reach you). And lately ive been thinking that it's kind of breaking the law. A lot of companies are doing a lot of diffrent stuff when they get somebodys address in their hands (I also heard they cant use just any addresses that havent aplied for those surveys or anything like that). If you give somebodys address and this person will get some kind of note or even bills he/she wont be able do anything against that company because that company got its address and got its agrement that allows that company to do antyhing with that address. If the vicitm would arange some futher investigations it could result to finidng the person internet ID and then sending the person responsible for giving out addreses, to the jail or giving it a bill (depeniding on the scale of the crime). Basicly speaking giving out people informations and/or addreses without them allowing is a punishable crime.
Now lets say that your giving out a address that doesnt exist... its still wrong (but i dont know if its a crime) because your giving fake addresses to companies. I really would like to know if giving fake addreses is punishable.
I also would like to add that this not the only site that have such services so this topic isnt only about Rewards1.
Please share your opinions and correct me wherever im wrong (also please forigive me for my grammar i hope you can understand me well)
Thank you
