Revolver

This is the new film from Guy Ritchie in case you didn't know.

I had a chance to watch this the other day and I have to say it was one of the worst things I have ever seen. Overall it was messy, boring, unentertaining, self ingulgent, incoherent and just unfathomably dull. It was painful to watch.

I loved Lock,Stock.., thought Snatch was okay, but this is just terrible.

Avoid!

I've never seen so many truly bad reviews for a film. Maybe it'll become a weird cult hit in about 50 years (doubt it though).

Why is everyone so surprised when a Guy Ritchie film turns out to be crap? It's not like he has a stunning body of work behind him. (Snatch wasn't bad though). :)

Having just seen this movie I came to this thread certain in my defence of it (Hey, someone has to :D )

I was going to say how Guy loves Tarantino, and for this film especially LOVES 'Fight Club'.

However... their were several times in the film where I thought "WTF?"

...and that's where my defence of this film crumbled.

Guy can't do pyschological dramas. :o
ummm.... if that's what it is!

Not a *totally* bad movie though. Honestly :)

OK i saw it last night and, before I comment on it, I'd just like to ask, er, can someone explain it to me? Because I am majorly perplexed. According to Ritchie, the director, people who, to use his phrase, "get the concept" think that this an awesome film. But I didn't get it and it seemed like a jumble of junk, even if it might give Tracey Emin a run for her money for the Turner prize.

I knew I should have chosen Layer Cake!
