Returning a blackberry to vodafone (faulty) will a photo copy of a receipt be enough?

im returnng a faulty blackberry to vodafone, it was taken out on a contract by the person i bought off (ebay) they sent me a photocopy of the receipt, is this enough to get a replacement??
