Retrieve deleted text messages from ATT

Once you delete them, they go into cyberland.

Carriers do keep a record of text messages sent/received and the content on them for a specific period of time. This content is nearly impossible to retrieve and may not be possible. They only have to release this content under court order, even then...many won't be forced to release it (since they may not have them).

According to ATT's Legal Dept, ATT does not store the Text messages in any kind of data base, Only option is A court order would need to go into effect and they will start to recoed and save them for a certain amount of time.

AT&T's legal department is WRONG...most of the time they will simply tell you they don't store them to make customers "less angry" when told they can't release it to you.

To comply with FCC standards, all wireless carriers are required to store this information for a selected period.

This is kinda how they found a kidnapped Oregon girl.

To get any info in black and white will require a subpoena, you could check out a site called viewmytextmessages.com. They can be viewed, but ATT will not violate FCC regulations and disclose that information over the phone.

I'm sorry its viewmymessage.com/1 or viewmymessage.com/2-youhave to create a login. either page will give you the same login.
