Retaking college classes?

Yes it will replace the grade. On your transcript they will be able to see that you repeated it, but only your new grade will be factored into your GPA.

ok i failed to classes at my local community college. in my college repeat policy it says "a student may repeat this course only once after receiving a grade including a "W'" Now i was wondering when i go to retake the classes next semester will my new grades replace my old ones and will it still affect my gpa? because i need a good gpa to get into a university next fall.

Yeah the grade will be replaced assuming you pass which I should hope you do since you've taken it already. The previous grade should be erased completely, so your gpa should go up.
