I was arrested for retail fraud II today (thus far i've had a spotless record, its a first time offense), I dont have court for awhile and will fight very hard to not get a conviction on my record. If convicted however, will i get expelled from school? (currently finishing my bachelors in a state university) Will this affect my financial aid or applying for my masters? Im terrified and so ashamed
I plan on getting a lawyer for sure, wasnt at first but my future is too important.
It looks lk a misdemeanor so far, is that better than felony? Btw this is michigan
