Hi all,

I went for an xray like 2 weeks ago on my back. Had been feeling nurabness in house, legs thought I did my back in etc.

Got results from my doctor telling me I got minor lurabar scoliosis concave to the right. Now she did tell me it was my spine tilting to the right but don't know exactly what this it.

I was told I need to lose weight

Can someone explain this to me please?

It would help you to get a consultation and examination by an Orthopedic Spine Surgeon and/or Neurosurgeon. They can look at the x-ray, perhaps do an MRI or CT and then come up with a treatment plan. If you are very overweight they may advocate for weight loss, but if what they find is severe they may be able to help you before you are able to loose the weight.

I would recommend seeing an Orthopedist. If the initial diagnosis is correct that it is "scoliosis" I would say see an orthopedist that specializes in scoliosis. Since scoliosis is curvature of the spine from side to side then they can determine to what degree there is scoliosis and how much curvature there is and what neeRAB to be done. Good luck and keep us posted.
