Restricted use of personal flash drive?

What would be a good business justification for a person to use a personal flash drive when the company prohibts usage?
This is not for personal use. The goal is to share information/presentations with other colleagues without having to lug around my encripted laptop.

Where there is a business need for it. For example, the user needs to exchange data with a customer or a supplier electronically. If robust policies are in place you will not be able to dress up a desire for access for ultimately personal use as being a business need. By the sounds of it this is what you are trying to do and what the policy is specifically designed to prevent.
