Saw Resident Evil last night. Not good at all. Gamers will notice a lot of stuff from the game but basically 2 mins of plot stretched over an hour and a half of zombies jumping out at people.
Hilarious, not scary at all.
 
have to agree with u i got the vcd of resident evil and thought that it was a waste of time making a movie like that cause it didnt fllow anything really about the game although at the end u could tell there ws going to be a sequel
 
oh dear.. I am a die hard gamer, played Resident Evil 5 years ago, and i loved this film.

I also love movies, so its not a game-biased decision.

It did very well box-office takings wise, so much so a sequel is being mulled.

everyone i know who has seen it loved it too, even my girlfriend liked it.

Resident Evil is a good action film :)
 
i have the vcd version of resident evil and i think this may not be the final cut of the film as i have seen a few parts of other cameras in the shot and microphones too.
i thought it was a wicked film!
but all of us are different arnt we?
 
Yes, that is the full film on VCD!

they are also planning a sequal called Resident Evil: Nemisis (yes i know that was the 3rd game before people start having a go at me).

The planned release date is Halloween next year!
 
Well, dont bother going to see it at the cinema! It's taken so long to reach the UK. the US dvd is out soon! Just import that, and if your cinema is as much as mine, it wont cost much more!!

I miss the old student discount days :(
 
Yeah, I've just seen it too, really liked it too. And I'm a big movie fan, go every week, I particularly enjoyed a certain shot at the end of the film, where she wakes up in the white room......those of you that have seen it know what I'm referring to!!! ;)
 
just saw it, quite good. I really liked the storyline and the idea of how a super large company can have more powe than governments and stuff, really interesting.

Not really scary, although i did jump at a lot of things :eek: Im sure the Odeon peeps put the volume up high cos when it started everyone noticed that it was a lot louder and actually when i came out the cinima i had a headache.

and LOL at the scene at the end in the white room :D
 
Finally got around to seeing the film. I quite enjoyed it, although it was the was very predicatble. The special effects are very good and there are a couple of really gruesome moments (if you are into that kind of thing). I also enjoyed the gratuitous nudity. :D
Wasn't overly keen on the ending though (anyone note the similarities with the original Planet of the Apes??). Perhaps those final few scenes should have been kept for the openig sequences of the sequel.
 
Yay saw it last night and thought it was awesome, i really wanted rain and cal (?) to survive but they got killed right at the end :(
 
i have the blue-ray us movie i think it was a good movie they is a CG movie also comeing out next year called Resident Evil: Degeneration
 
For a minute there I thought this thread was about the second sequel - the third Resident Evil. Until I saw the messages from 1 - 17 are dated 2002.

Has anyone seen the third one? What's it like compared to the first 2?
