Omg I have just seen a tv advert for a new resi movie and have just watched the trailer and it looks brilliant it has my fave chracters claire and leon when is this released on blue ray??I'm glad it's CGI aswell that way we have the real voice actors from the games
 
Apparently it's a load of old arse, based on pretty much every review I've seen/heard. Not bothered to see it after the panning it's received.
 
Its out now on Blu-Ray.

Personally i liked it but you should be a fan of the games obviously to watch it (sounRAB like you are anyway).

Most reviews ive read come from people who were expecting something along the same lines as the live action films and who are not fans of the games.
 
This is the route they should have taken originally, instead of that Hollywood rubbish they served up with characters who didn't even exist in the game.
 
Bought it yesterday in Sainsburies, but haven't watched it yet, as it was footy on last night. Maybe tonight. As I love CGI movies I expect I'll like it.

Okay, watched it now. I liked it, but then I'm a great fan of the games and even like the live-action movies. It suffers the usual Japanese traits of hammy 'acting', impenetrable, dopey plot, but great action, great set pieces and very good CGI. Imagine a super luxury extended version of one of the many CGI cut scenes from the games and you won't go too far wrong. They even manage to throw in some discreet fan service so what's not to like?

How much is it on blue ray ? Is it on normal DVD? From the trailers I have wached they should of went cgi in the 1st place instead of live action and I see we have the theme music from resi 2. O have to buy this
 
Ok I have finally watched it and have to say it is absolutley BRILLIANT I strongly recemend this film to the hardcore resi fans as it's the best resi movie IMO it has slot of fan pleasing moments and some scenes they make it look like you are playing resident evil. CGI was much better then the live action resi movies. 9/10 a must see
 
I saw this movie about 2 months ago. I enjoyed it. But i wasn't very interested in the storyline. Though the action and special effects were superb.
 
I think the storyline was good it was more connected to the games then the live action ones as they made a different story with a chracter 'alice' who ain't even in the games but the live actions were good. But degeneration is the best out of the three of them
 
Yeah, it takes place in the game universe as opposed to the movie one. So you get references to RE2 (and a couple of short "flashbacks") and also see some employees of the Tri-Cell corporation that is part of RE5.

As mentioned the story is a bit weak but there are a couple of great set-pieces so if your are a big fan of the series then you'll most likely enjoy it. The only I thing I didn't like was the lip syncing, the movie was originally in English but they didn't sync the lips to the worRAB so it looks dubbed.
