Reservation Road

I finally watched this just a few hours ago. Not the best movie ever, but pretty good. It is gloomy, depressing, very intense dramatic scenes and raw performances, but it was good.

Same here. I love Joaquin Phoenix and Mark Ruffalo so I would watch it anyway, but the trailer was very powerful.

I haven't seen the movie, but critics are weird sometimes. Sadly, what they say matters a lot to the studios. I bet the performances were awesome, though.

The critics, however, have talked about Mark Ruffalo's performance so they agree with you in that.

The movie has a 37% rating at rottentomatoes.com

I've read a lot of articles where this film was panned by the critic. I still would like to see it though. I thought that just the trailer was really powerful. It's on my queue on Netflix... Of course it's like 300-something :look:

I seriously doubt critics would hate it. Unless they watched something else by mistake. It's a great film and is exactly what type of film critics like aswell. I just don't get why this wasn't more popular or more talked about.

Mark Ruffalo should of at least been considered for a nomination for his acting in a supporting role. Phenomenal stuff.

Thanks for starting this!

I have wanted to see this for a long time. Apparently, the movie bombed with critics. I read an article on this a while ago, I'll try to look it up.

This is a brilliant drama starring Joaquin Phenoix, Mark Ruffalo and Jennifer Connelly. Brilliant acting and very well made film.

One thing i want to know is that according to Wikipedia the film has only made $137,807 and there isn't much about the film at all. Yet it was released last year and it's basically superb. It hasn't even come over to the UK or anywhere else. So i just want to know what happened with this film really for the US people who may know.
