Suppose an inverted mountain 15 miles in diameter, with a height at the center of 1 mile, composed of pure granite...were to fall from a height of 3 miles from a stationary location into a body of water a half mile deep.
I can find all the calculations and theoretical data online for impact simulations, but they assume a smaller object moving at a much faster speed.
What I'm mainly interested in is this: what would a person on the shore of this body of water experience if they were around 10 miles away?
