The Black Rose - Prologue
Prologue
"Hey Kiana!" Ugg, I know that stupid nasally voice anywhere. Just keep walking and don't look back or she'll never leave you alone. Sadly, I wasn't walking fast enough because the moment I'm about to turn the corner, someone grabs me.
As I turn around, I started yelling, "You're annoying and you really need to sto...." But when I realized who I was screaming to, I instantly quit talking, my face bright tomato red.
Xander just looked amused. He's been my best friend since third grade which is when I started attending Chambers. I ripped my pants during recess so he gave me his sweatshirt to hide the rip and walked me all the way to the nurse's office unlike my friends who just stared and laughed their hearts out.
"So Ms. Rose," he says in a bad British accent, "Please finish your unfinished sentence that you were so loudly shouting at me."
"I thought you were Nara!"
"And what's wrong with that?"
"She's an annoying jackbutt? Have you not been listening to my rantings for the last two years?" And this is when I notice that it wasn't Xander who asked but the dumbnut herself, Nara.
With disbelief written all over her face she runs down the hall sobbing, "I thought we were friends!"
I know it seemed harsh but she's been following me around like a stalker since the moment I defended her after these boys started bullying her in sixth grade. I should've just stopped there so the stalking situation (that I didn't know about until seventh grade) wouldn't get worse, but I just had to be nice and give her fashion tips and give her a make over! No one likes stalkers unless they're attention whores. Luckily, it's 10:32 P.M. so I can go to sleep and not worry about anything until tomorrow.
I'm just writing a book for fun but I want it to be a well written book because I want to share it with my friends and I don't want them lying and saying it was great. So this is the Prologue, what do you think ? I can take criticism as long as its constructive thank you
