My name is Liz Birge and I"m a reporter with the Star-Ledger in New Jersey. I'm working on a story about the kinds of accidents people have with their PDAs, MP3 players and cell phones and what kind of damage occurs and if you have the item repaired. I'm interested in talking to people who have dropped them, sat on them, spilled coffee over them, taken them canoeing -- anything.

I can be reached at 973-392-1760 or at [email protected].
Thank you.
Liz

Hi Liz,

I recently dropped my Palm Tungsten T5 into the bath tub! Yes disaster!!! However I fished it straight out, and although it would not work at all for several days, it has not returned to (almost) perfect working order, but only almost!!

There are just two problems that I can am aware of. Firstly the WiFi card no longer seems to be recognised, but I can live with that. However the more serious is that the display is very faint. Its readable, but only just. I posted it on Palm Blvd, but nobody has been able to give me anything useful so far....
Thanks,
Aidan.

Hi Liz, I have dropped my T3 on cement a few times, darn case kept falling off the belt clip. I have never had any problems at all with it. It has a few dings in it but all is well.
