Moving to Portland and am interested in hearing, from current Cricket customers, what the service is like now:

1. Call quality/drops? Markets saturated?
2. Customer Service? Knowledgeable?
3. Does Cricket still have reputation for botching billing? Fast to correct errors?
4. Web site functionality? Can you change plans online? Pay bill online?
5. Can you change plans mid-month?
6. Can you upgrade plan to "all cricket markets" if you plan on visiting relatives and then switch back outside of billing cycles?

As for Kyocera Lingo...seeking input from current users of the M1000...

7. Anyone have the M1000/Lingo and can provide some detailed feedback?
8. The phone is listed as having POP capability..wondered how that works, if at all.

Any feedback on screen, keyboard, durability, usability would be appreciated!

Thanks in advance for any information!

These answers apply to CCV, but are generally applicable to all markets.

1. Call quality/drops? Markets saturated? Excellent coverage. In CCV we have better coverage than Sprint and T-Mobile and comparable to ATT and Verizon
2. Customer Service? Knowledgeable? Phone Customer Care is bad. They are usually not too knowledgable, but if you end up needing a trouble ticket for something the techs are quite good.
3. Does Cricket still have reputation for botching billing? Fast to correct errors? I've actually never seen an error on billing in 3+ years as a dealer. sometimes customers do not understand proration, or they do not get disconnected and then complain when their next bill is twice as much, but that is not cricket's error.
4. Web site functionality? Can you change plans online? Pay bill online? I don't believe you can change plans online, but you can pay you bill online, and use the website for a few other things as well.
5. Can you change plans mid-month? You can change plans any time. But there is a $15 migration fee for plan changes (changing bolt-on features is free). Also $15 for ESN change and phone nuraber change. changes mid-cycle will be prorated (except for ringback tones) meaning you will recieve partial minutes (for ILD and roaming changes) and only be billed proportionally to hpw far you are through the bill cycle. Prorations will show on the next generated bill, not the next bill that is due (this causes a lot of the issues with billing i was refering to above)
6. Can you upgrade plan to "all cricket markets" if you plan on visiting relatives and then switch back outside of billing cycles? Yes

As for Kyocera Lingo...seeking input from current users of the M1000...

7. Anyone have the M1000/Lingo and can provide some detailed feedback? If you want a qwerty keyboard for texting have at it, but if it's not a must have for you, there are much better phones at the same price point. additionally you may want to look into flashing or purchasing a flashed 6700 or something.
8. The phone is listed as having POP capability..wondered how that works, if at all. Cricket does not currently support POP or any other email, though you can MMS to *most* email addresses.

Any feedback on screen, keyboard, durability, usability would be appreciated!
- The only issues I have had is one broken camera, and a handful with blown out speakers, all were DOA out of the box, and I have not seen any sort of recurring issues with this phone's durability.

1. Call quality/drops? Markets saturated?
call quality is great throughout Portland and Vancouver some areas will have bad signal indoors such as the Vancouver mall but it still works .

2. Customer Service? Knowledgeable?
Customer service on the phone is only good for basic stuff go to a store if you need a big problem fixed

3. Does Cricket still have reputation for botching billing? Fast to correct errors? I have never had billing problems again i just go in to store if i have a billing question

4. Web site functionality? Can you change plans online? Pay bill online?
website is good does basic stuff (EX Pay your bill, add features )

5. Can you change plans mid-month?
yes but there will be a $15 service fee

6. Can you upgrade plan to "all cricket markets" if you plan on visiting relatives and then switch back outside of billing cycles?
the $45 dollar and above plans include coverage in all cricket markets

7. Anyone have the M1000/Lingo and can provide some detailed feedback?
