i am a broke student and i rear ended somebody with my 1998 honda civic. there is damage to the hood, bumper and light. there may be damage under the hood but i haven't had it assessed yet.
i need a reliable + inexpensive/fair place to have this repaired
my dad thinks that i should phone my insurance company and ask them if they have any preferred body-shop partners in calgary. is this really in my best interest? (i am scared that they may write my car off--i bought it for $4200 1 year ago and i pay the first $1000 of the damages...i really don't know how much the repairs will be but i'm guessing over $1000
btw no damage was done to the other car and there was no police report/witnesses etc. if i make an insurance claim (I have insurance with TD) will they increase my premiums/rule that i have had an accident?
