Republicans, you realize that recent history shows that Obama will be...

Jimmy Carter had "charisma" as well...

And he was not re-elected because of the economy....

So your theory holds no value, if the economy still stinks Obama will not be re-elected.

And how exactly is the economy getting better.

Housing sales are still dropping, unemployment still high and climbing, the dollar continuing to lose value, our debt is out of this world and Obama is still spending. China and Japan do not want to buy any more of our debt, so inflation is on the way.

...re-elected.? (Long question)? The similarities between Obama's first term and Clinton's first term are beyond striking. Lets get started.

1. Both Clinton and Obama have extreme Charisma and have shown the ability to get out of any controversy by making a good speech (Such and Clinton and Geniffer Flowers which almost destroyed his chances in the early primaries, and Obama and reverend Wright)

2. Both these men won in an electoral landslide and succeeded an unpopular incumbent Bush

3. Both began their term with controversial HC reform which initially dropped their approval ratings. And Clinton, at this point in his presidency, had an approval in the low forties, much lower than Obama's. So I see it as pointless to celebrate Obama's decreased numbers when Clinton recovered in a near identical scenario.

4. And, like Clinton's, Obama's inherited economy is improving. Never in US History has an incumbent president lost re-election when the economy is good (which it's about to be). Even if they weren't responsible for it, it's the "Being there when something happens" event which will make you if the event is good or destroy you if the event is bad. Never fails in politics. This is how both Clinton and Reagan were re-elected

Obama's first term, repeat of history from what we saw in Bill's first term. Clinton was re-elected in an even bigger electoral landslide in 1996 against Bob Dull (Pun intended.)

So republicans who are expecting a win in 2012, well, you were here in the 90's, your seeing a repeat of it now, what makes you expect such a dramatically different outcome in a near identical series of events?
