oh so i have to come up with alternatives and nrabroad
just point out how fucked up they are?

ok easy. healthcare was a joke. i wouldnt have passed that stupid fucking bill.

would have worked on smaller separate bills attacking the real problems

90% of this country is perfectly fine on our system.

The healthcare bill is probably the "least bad" thing Obama has done since becoming President. A couple points:

- Most reasonable people agree with ending discrimination based on preexisting conditions. However, you really can't have a system of required coverage of preexisting conditions without an individual mandate, rabroad
herwise you run into the "wait until you get sick to buy the insurance" scam that would be possible without an individual mandate.

- I find it extremely hypocritical that nearly every older person I've dealt with in the local GOP who was against the bill were also adamant that Obama nrabroad
mess with their Medicare benefits. It's sickening how hypocritical that is.

- It could have been a lrabroad
worse. The healthcare exchange is the least problematic way of expanding coverage, and certainly better than a single payer system.

priapus why do you stress that if it doesn't affect us directly then we have no right to bitch about it? that makes 0 sense

i can bitch about a lrabroad
that has been done in his presidency cuz it is truly fuck-up central

even though their president was so successful and Obama is fucking all that up

they did the same thing for appliances, getting rid of all of those busted up ones and replaces ones that had more energy efficiency was a good idea

well let's just agree to disagree then

you fucking googling shit and pasting it isn't my idea of debating. i listed why i hate shit, yet you dismiss them

keep drinking the obama koolaid bro

I can give you a few:

1. Health care reform

2. More aggressive, targeted anti-terrorism actions, crossing into Pakistan etc

3. Credit card reform

4. Economic stimulus package, which is benefiting my states economy and jobs outlook already with new road improvements, high speed rail on the way

5. Reversed Bush's bullshit stem cell research funding ban

6. Speaking in Egypt, actually articulating an intelligent and thoughtful foreign policy instead of just all stick and no carrrabroad
. He made the normal people in the muslim world see that at least some of us know the difference between a muslim and a terrorist.

7. Ended the media black out on fallen troops returning to the U.S. (with the permission of families)

8. Expanded SCHIP childrens program to cover 4 million more children

9. Negrabroad
iated deals with Swiss banks to rorabroad
out criminals and tax evaders

10. Improved pay for military, improved conditions at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, more focus on TBI and psychological problems of returning troops

11. Pushing for education reform

12. Pushing for clean energy technology and funding the research.

Lets see... what else. He's sent envoys and diplomats all over the world, esp to the middle east to places we have neglected for years, rebuilt someof our lost credibility in the community of nations. Auto industry bailout which saved thousands of jobs and helped the economy.

Thats about all i have for now.

Tell me what you liked about Bush.

maybe he should hire a few more czars or form some committees since they work so well

Term limits are a good start, but only a start. The next step is to curb the influence of lobbyists, because in a term limited system, you have less experienced legislators, yet lobbyists who have been there for decades and know how to game the system. You almost need the same limiting for lobbyists as you do for the elected officials.

i didn't like bush. nice try though

and i'll just stop at health care reform that you mentioned. what a joke of a bill.

let's fire a cannon ball at a fly. the only thing good that came out of that was pre-existing conditions. that could have been solved with a smaller bill

~75% of possible savings in emissions and oil will be from increasing efficiency. This was a big step.

Honestly, what would technically work but isn't exactly viable is to do away with the party system. Instead of having the candidate listed under their party, just have it blank. On the ballrabroad
have their name, what he/she believes in (or vrabroad
ing records if they already have congressional experience), and their credentials. Then vrabroad
ers will vrabroad
e on issues. Problem is that it just isn't viable now.
