I'm replacing the intake manifold gaskets on my 2000 Mercury Sable and I'm having trouble getting the gaskets to stay ni place. Is there something I need to do to get them to stay in place? Whenever I start to lay the manifold down some of them pop out. Should I use an adhesive of some sort to keep them locked in place?
The gaskets are oval shape. It's odd because they have nothing to grab on to. They just sit in a fairly shallow groove that isn't deep enough to hold them in place.
