I have a Roadmaster 26 inch mountain bike with front suspension. The problem is that every time I put my weight on the handle bars to stand up and pedal as if up a hill. The suspension bottoms out (weight I guess). My weight is 265 lbs and the bike is rated for 200 lbs. So how difficult is it to replace and should I replace with solid forks or new suspension forks. Also about how expensive and is this something I can do my self or will I need to go to a bike shop?

Try loosing some weight, it will be less expensive and much more healthier for you in the long run.
