I have a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4 cyl. I had to replace the engine about six months ago and the computer (which I know is not normal for this to happen at 106,000 miles). Regardless, ever since then the engine still misfires.

After pulling the codes, we find out the the O2 sensor near the exhaust needs to be replaced. We do have one from the other bank that might be able to work in the replacement.

In addition, it recently started to chug, has lost acceleration and smells like fuel. (And we are assuming this is in relation to this O2 sensor?).

My questions is...are both of the O2 sensors on this car interchangeable? Same type of plug?

Thank you!
Sorry, I meant 6 cly.!

Only thing I can say is that when buying one they are a different part number which suggests that they are different.
