replacing an old duramax

I have an old Panasonic Duramax phone that I got in late 1999/early 2000.
With the reduced availability of TDMA & Analog, and weak batteries, I'm looking to get a new phone.
Requirements:
1. Must be durable. It will be dropped, kicked, crushed, dunked, etc...
2. Cingular is my carrier.
3. Must be able to function in the USA, Europe, and the UK.
4. Would like it to still be usable in 5 or 6 years.

Any ideas?

Cameras, ringtones, mp3 players, and other bits are just fluff that I really don't need. I won't object to any of those features if they are there, but I won't pay extra for them.

Thanks
RB

the one phone that i haven't been able to break is the old nokia 3390
it's been thru a lot of beating with me

smashed onto the table out of rage
threw it 20 feet into the air and missed....landed on grass
slided off the hood as i drove away without noticing it
still works wonders

it's a GSM phone with no features
but it's durable like a beast
