Replacement engine for Dodge Dakota?

I am looking to put a replacement or used engine in my 1997 dodge dakota. I currently have a 2.5 liter 5 speed, and would like to know what I could get in there that would be 2.5 liters or less, but have a lot more punch to it. Is there some kind of 1.5 or 2.0 liter turbo that could fit?

dodge didnt make an engine of that size and set up you would be better off to go put the big V8 in it if you want that punch...only way you could use a engine like that would require alot of modification mounting the motor which will not be a dodge engine so then you need a transmission that will fit the engine if anything leave then engine alone or put a bigger dodge enigne in it
