Replaced handset but old phone still active

I recently swapped to a pair of Instinct S30s for myself and the wife. Bought em off CL, flashed em over, added em to our account no problem.

She was previously using a LG Glance off Verizon that had been OTAd to allow talk and text. No hard flash or anything. Upon replacing her phone, the old hanRABet would still receive texts, even though it was no longer the active ESN listed on the account.

She opted to list the glance on ebay. Phone sold and shipped out. Reprogrammed with new info from buyer (NAM, SID/NID, etc). However, purchaser cannot activate due to "cricket not having released and de-authorized the ESN". I'm not sure whether this is a common issue, or if it has anything to do with the (in)competency of a certain authorized seller I am forced to endure customer service related matters with.

Any ideas for resolution? I used the handy dandy know all tool and it seemed to yield nothing pertinent.

Sometimes that does happen...Just keep the phone off and after a few hours only one phone will be working. The most you would have to wait for an ESN to be released is 30 days.

If it's being reactivated on Verizon then cricket doesn't need to do anything with the ESN.
If it won't activate on Verizon it could be a bad ESN on their network.
