Green Day To The End!

ive had my nose pierced for a year now and it still isnt really healed since i had trouble with healing. Anyways, i was reading on the net and it states that: "dont replace the jewellery with a sleeper during the healing phase, as they have tiny hinges which tear the inside of the wound and cause inflammation and lumps. Silver sleepers are especially dangerous as they oxidise in the wound which causes "Argyria" a permanent black mark in your nose, they can also cause to allergic reactions. " which is what i did when my piercing was only 8 weeks old and it hadnt healed yet (i know, i was stupid but i didnt know much about piercings) anyways, its been one year and yes i have since changed the jewellery to 100% stainless steel stud, i clean it everyday, and i dont think i have Argyria (Since i cant see any black mark around my piercing) anways my nose has been healing for 2 months now. But could the sleeper i put in ages ago still affect the healing of the piercing?

I think it would be safe if you used a stainless steel sleeper, and not twist it round to the hinges.
