Repeating the initial setup

Hi there!

I'm setting up an Android phone for my mom (she insisted that she needs a Nexus One, who am I to argue?) who lives in a far off land. She wanted me to set it up for her before I ship it over.

I'd like to put some useful applications on for her, but I want her to repeat the initial setup/tutorial when she turns it on. My plan was to do a wipe before I sent it along, but if I do that all the applications and settings get erased, too.

Is there a way to get Android to rerun the initial setup without wiping all the applications/other settings?

HI there - I see no one responded. If you press the Apps key, there should be a selection for Setup. That should put you back into the setup dialog, and you or your mother can redo it. Good luck.
