REpalcing android homescreen with my personal home screen

hey...
Please help me out... i am stuck in a situation where i am required to replace android's home screen with my on home screen while launching...
what should i do.. as i am not able to remove launcher.apk from system/aps folder.
is there any other way to do this..

thanks in advance...
 
If you have both installed, after you reboot your phone it should ask which Home app you want to use. You dont have to delete the old one.
