ok so there is a small amount of rust near the battery in my bmw, i expected these troubles 
its an '85. Looking at the best methods for repairing rust, heard about baking soda? method? Let me know what yall rekon...

the rust is actually right under the battery so im affraid that it might also be corrosion from the battery though it does look more like rust. Might try both. What do you do with baking soda? mix with water and apply or just slap it on dry?
