Repair Questions about 1986 Honda XR200R Dirt Bike, NEED HELP PLEASE?

Ok my cousin and me have a 1986 Honda xr200r dirt bike, but we are having problems with it running. I took it out for the first time in 3 months a couple days ago, and while i was riding the engine started cutting back and dying, so i tried throttling it and it just slowly died. It's hard to describe but imagine this, you sit on the bike and kick start it, (you have to keep giving it a little gas for it to idle), as your waiting for it to warm up it starts dying, but if you give it a just a little gas it stays running, but if you give it too much gas it starts dying again (like the carb is flooding out). When my cousin could get it to start running he drove it while it was acting weird, like it was doing short bursts of speed and cutting back, but if he jumped up and down on it alot it ran perfectly with no stalling. the gas is good, we even put gas treatment in it. So the question is, is the carburetor getting too much gas and flooding? is it a clogged gas hose? if its not then what is it? I need alot of details guys cause we've been trying to get it running right for 6 days. Please help.
