Repair on Nokia E61 - what to do?

I bought an E61 from a store in Toronto and they sold me a branded phone. Took it back for debranding flashing and they did it.

After that, it had problems - battery would die in 10 mins of use, random "SIM not registered" errors. I took it back.

First they tried to "fix" it in-house - didn't work, had same problems and I dropped it back. This time I specifically asked them to RMA it to Nokia.

Now, one month later they tell me this:

1. They'll give me a new board in the phone since Nokia didn't get back to them./will not accept the phone blah blah blah....
2. It will be my same housing (i had cracked my housing) as before.
3. I will get a new box from them to match the serial number on the board.

What do I do? If something goes wrong again, will Nokia accept this for warranty repair? I'm supposed to have manufacturer's retail warranty on the original phone I purchased, fyi.

The only way you can get warranty service through Nokia is if you drop it off to a service centre where the phone is officially sold like Europe, I don't believe a service centre in North America will fix it under warranty. Your only other option is to take it to the store that you bought it from and hope they'll replace/fix it.

I picked up the phone with the new board in it. They say that the warranty from Nokia will apply on this one since it is a BRAND NEW board.I got them to put that on the receipt as well.

Will test this out thoroughly.
