I am a student who is renting the room in 2 bedroom condo where my landlord who is in his late 40s or 50s lives with me. I moved in here about 6month ago because I was told that the place will be quite and I will have private washroom( which is located outside of my room). After 2 month, he started acting weird such as throwing my food in the garbage which was in refrigerator or entering my room when I m not at home. When I confronted about it, he said he thought it was his food & he is going to compensate which he never did. Also my some clothes were missing. Recently his 2 friends moved in here & I was told that they are going to stay here for entire summer. He let those guys use my washroom, which was supposed to be my private washroom and I am very uncomfortable sharing washroom with them cuz they don’t keep clean. Beside that he also put my some food into freezer, which was in refrigerator. When I asked, he blamed his guests but I knew it was him. Today, while I was not at home he entered my room and left my radio ON (don’t know why) which was OFF what I clearly remember. When I confronted again, he denied. I want to move out but I m taking summer classes & I have exams coming soon therefore I still have to stay here another month.
I don’t understand why this man is behaving strange and how to prevent this kind of behavior. Also I want to know if it is OK to change the lock of my room without asking him. Need some good advice!!!
