I'm not sure if what district justice is. I"m guessing you are not in the US.
Basically, if he still has the computer and is not paying on it, he is stealing it. He could be arrested for some kind of theft.
If they are not holding up their end of the bargain, he should read the contract and see if he can return the computer.
On a legal basis, he could argue that his obligation to pay does not arise until the do their end of the lease. However, that won't keep him from being arrested for theft if they aren't doing what they should do.
